Below are all of the most common issues and solutions available! SOLVED: Destiny 2 PC Crashing to Desktop every 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes (varies). I’ve spent a lot of time troubleshooting and researching the issues everyone has shared publicly on reddit or the Bungie forums. This guide will help you fix those crashes. Many players are not having any issues, but myself and many others have experienced regular crashing since launch. Let me know if you got any questions.Destiny 2 has had some widespread issues since its PC launch. Not only that, but the manner in which this has failed after playing the game successfully within vulkan, but then failing to load after you played ONCE makes me raise an eyebrow. I looked up another bug report with someone that ran into the librendersystemvulkan.so errors, and they advised that it was fixed by uninstalling the non-GLVND drivers. Other games, vulkan and non-vulkan load fine. This made me think that there's something that changed with Dota 2, or Steam, etc. home/commonoddity/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/game/bin/linuxsteamrt64/librendersystemvulkan.so Wanting to make sure, once again, that I'm not crazy, I checked to see where the aforementioned file was and found the only copy within the steam folder as follows: dota2: segfault at 45 ip 00007f0e9bedc368 sp 00007ffc09c6b0a0 error 4 in librendersystemvulkan.so dota2: segfault at 45 ip 00007f4fea7c4368 sp 00007ffd5b51a1f0 error 4 in librendersystemvulkan.so dota2: segfault at 45 ip 00007f1872945368 sp 00007ffcde61faa0 error 4 in librendersystemvulkan.so As per usual, I go to dmesg first to see what got barfed up. So I was left scratching my head thinking, what in the hell is going on here? I decided to take a look at the logs a bit. Tried to load the game again, ran into the same issue.I enabled the Vulkan DLC, set the game to load with -vulkan.I was able to load the game just fine.
I uninstalled Dota 2, nuked the Dota 2 beta folder just to be safe.I tested 7 days to die, loads just fine with OpenGL, just to make sure that there's nothing wrong with the OGL stack.Talos Principle (which uses Vulkan purely now) loaded just fine. It appends - Running, to dota 2, in my games library, then syncs and fails to load. I then proceeded to attempt and load Dota 2 again.
Made sure all my packages were up-to-date for OpenSuSE Tumbleweed and I uninstalled my previous NVIDIA binary blob (manually from cli), ensured nouveau is blacklisted and did a mkinitrd to make sure the open-source driver module doesn't get baked in.
